North Bačka District is a northern district of Serbia.
The municipalities are:
• Subotica
• Bačka Topola
• Mali Iđoš

It has a population of 200,140. The seat of the district is Subotica.
Subotica is a multi-ethnic and multi-religious center; in addition to the major Roman Catholic and Serb Orthodox communities, there are nearly thirty other small-size religious communities in the town. The most remarkable religious buildings are:
Orthodox Church in Aleksandrovo, from the 17th century
Orthodox Church from the 18th century
Cathedral of St Teresa of Avila from 1797
Franciscan Monastery from 1723
Synagogue
In keeping with its very rich resources, the region's food processing industry is well developed. Subotica ranks among the leading communities in Serbia when it comes to crop (maize, wheat and sunflower) yields.

Population (census 2002): 200,140
Capital: Subotica

Huge tourism potentials of this area is worth mentioning. Lake Palić with beatiful hotels and fishing resources, Lake Ludoš as natural habitat for many endangered animal species (mostly birds), paddock Zobnatica with significant potential in hunting tourism, City hall in Subotica, the one of the three most beatiful city halls in Europe.
